March 26, 2010 My sleeping angel!
Thur. March 25th, 2010 CO-SLEEPER Rocks!!! First Laugh!

The past couple of nights you have been a little fussy - perhaps you are starting early teething??? The good and bad is that you are vocal when you're not happy (dirty diaper, bored, hungry)or tired and want to be bounced/held/nippled to sleep. Mommy is the nippler (lol) and Daddy is the bouncer on the exercise ball and you like to put your face into the crook of my elbow or in my armpit ;0)
At any rate, the co-sleeper is working well (thank god) for nighttime sleep - when you are tired enough we can lay you down on "your" 1,000 thread count sheet/pillowcase! Here's a picture I took of you this morning.
Today I picked up Julia from school and we had family lunch - I love coming home, seeing you, Mommy and Julia, getting/giving kisses from/to my 3 girls and a nice smile from you!
This evening you started to laugh! We filmed it on the cam-corder. Mommy would hold you and then the two of you would pop into the mirror and she's say "Who's that?" and you would grin and giggle. It's so sweet!!!
Wed. March 24, 2010 "The end and rebirth"
Okay, it's been decided that maintaining a blog for you and a separate blog for Julia is a bit too time consuming and that our family's lives are so intertwined...so at the end of this month the two individual blogs will come to an end and I will then begin the "birth" of the Merry Moys blog! Stay tuned for that...
MOMMY's NOTE: Daddy did a great job on these blogs! Can't wait to see the Merry Moy's new blog!

Mon. March 22, 2010 Sitting Up/Leaning in Highchair!

After getting the luggage all empty, we couldn't resist putting you in one of them for a picture!
Daddy also did the baby wrap with you today...proof in the picture!
Today you started leaning yourself up and forward in the highchair to play with the toys and watch what's going on around you in the kitchen! Here's a picture of you looking at Julia's new kitchen blender!
You are growing up so fast! A joy to hold, chat with and all smiles at times! Daddy is trying to get you to say "da da"...Mommy just laughs at me...
Another good night in the co-sleeper (fingers crossed)!
Sun. March 21, 2010 First sleep in co-sleeper!!!
It's so nice to be back in our own home!!! The space, comfort and stuff! After getting all the laundry done, having brunch at Brookside By Day II, Sam's Club run to restock our fridge and attending Caroline Whitehead's 3rd bday party at the Bouncy Barn in Broken Arrow, we were all exhausted from the 15 hours in the van with snow and rain and slight sleep deprivation.
Tonight Mommy put you down in the co-sleeper and you lasted 3 hours - that was great! We think maybe the 1,000 thread count sheets Mommy used in there may be to your liking! Smile! Thankfully the prevacid is working well to help control/sooth your acid reflux. Mommy knows from experience - if we are going to sleep train you, we gotta do it before your crawl and stand...

Fri. March 19, 2010 Playdate at Ai-Ye Flo's and Your delayed 1 month/100 day dinner!
We all went to Ai-Ye Flo's for a luncheon play date so she could meet you, catch up with Mommy and Julia could play with her twins, Allison and Jessica. It was a nice afternoon and Auntie Frances and her two sons arrived around 2pm.
Today was your special delayed 1 month/100 day dinner party with family and good friends! We had 3 tables at House of Fortune in south side Chinatown. See pics of food and guests. After the dinner really got started you were so pooped that Mommy was able to put you down into the car seat for 10-15 minutes. It was a really fun day and night with great friends and family!
We didn't get home until around 10pm and had to pack and move all our stuff into the van for our scheduled early morning departure to hit the road back to Tulsa tomorrow morning...so sad to leave Chicago!
Thurs. March 18, 2010 Playdate and dinner at Tita Jean's!

Daddy went downtown via Metra again for more breakfast/coffee and lunch dates with old colleagues. You , Mommy and Julia went to Tita Jean/Tito Mark and Mia/Dhara's house this afternoon and I met you all there as we had wonderful carry out sushi for dinner - another YUMMY meal!
Here's a photo of you in Dhara's high chair talking to Tita Jean, a few pictures of us enjoying bedtime together and one of you with Julia and Grandma!.
Wed. March 17, 2010 Tita Horte and Visit the Grecos!
We went to Tita Hortencia's condo today to visit her and Sebastian. Daddy dropped you three off and then went to pick up yummy Indian carry out. Afterwards we ended up going to Old Orchard so Julia could play and run around a little as the weather was a nice upper 50s or so - you napped in the wrap carrier and Daddy was able to get some new shoes.
We headed home for dinner with Yie-yie and Ah-mah and then went over to our other old neighbors, the Grecos (Benny, Cyndi and Isabella) for a visit along with home made apple pie and decaf cappuccinos! Yummy. It was great seeing them and catching up - both Cyndi and Benny held you and Julia enjoyed playing with Isabella and their cat, Jumping Jack! They were so sweet and got you a small knit sweater!
Tues. March 16, 2010 Big Sister's Playdate
Today we went to Kaia's house for a group play date and big sister Julia got to see a bunch of her old toddler friends - Caiden, Niko, Isabella, Kaia, Ritesh and their younger siblings as well. You were a good quiet baby who either slept, looked around inquisitively or nursed!
In the late afternoon Mommy went out with Auntie Miyoung for dinner, while you, Julia and I stayed home. We took a walk around the neighborhood (you napped in the Baby Bjorn) and went to see our old neighbor Renee for a few minutes. Then Auntie Sunny and cousins Grace and Sarah came over for dinner. You just had 2 ounces of formula while Mommy was away.
Mommy was back home before 9pm and Tita Pagan had stopped by to make a special delivery of her mom's puerto rician rice - YUMMY! So we all got to visit in the basement for a while.
You are so funny - when you are really tired you get fussy and with me you just want to nuzzle into my arm or armpit and fall asleep! So cute and adorable!
Mon. March 15, 2010 Day in Schaumburg/Sleepy Hallow
Today Daddy went downtown on the Metra to meet up with old friends for coffee and lunch. You, Mommy and Julia had a late start after catching up on sleep and met Ai-Ye Hsiu-Mei at Woodfield Mall for lunch and a little shopping. Daddy took the Metra to the burbs and we all hung out at Ai-Ye and Uncle Steve's house, along with the Shooks and had Chinese carry-out for dinner. It was a nice evening...but the drive home was bad as you didn't like being in the car seat and we didn't have anything to drink for your thirsty big sister who just had her first allergic reaction to cats...bad Mommy and Daddy for not having any water in the van!
Sun. March 14, 2010 Tita Tita Tita!
Sat. March 13, 2010 Dim Sum with Uncle Panda!

Okay - we had to get our dim sum fix and also see Uncle Panda aka Leland! A trip to south side Chinatown for brunch and some groceries. Just wait until you have teeth and can eat yummy dumplings and other tasty dim sum things!!!
The first full day in Chicago was a lot for you and big sister Julia...here's pics of each of you napping!
Fri. March 12. 2010 First Road Trip!
Today at 7:15am we hit the road to Chicago! Thankfully you slept the first 3 hrs since we left so early...but after that you were not happy in the car seat! We had to "break the law" and have Mommy nurse you in the van while Dad drove the speed limit. We had three stops for gas and lunch at McDonald's with a playland. We made it to Grandparents Moy's house around 8:30pm - the last few hours on the road were a killer as usual - not helped by the rain and traffic of IL!
Your first time in Yie-yie and Ah-mah's house (outside of Mommy's belly) and we were fortunately greeted with a nice home cooked meal!!!
As I brought in our luggage and boxes...Grandma asked if we were moving in!???!!
It is sooo good to be "home" in Chicago!
Attached are a few pics from the road trip - you were not happy - cried and got all sweaty from all that energy you expelled.
